Chuck Erion-Owner |
Tricia Siemens-Owner |
| The
"papa" of the bookstore, Chuck is a jack of all trades. Computer expert, book
buyer and visionary, Chuck reads constantly and writes reviews for the local newspaper.
Chuck always has a carpentry project on the go. You can see him with an electric drill at
hand as he dreams about his next sailing trip. |
The
"mama" of WWB, Tricia orders the paperbacks and calendars and feels like every
day is a party at the store. An avid reader of fiction Tricia facilitates the store's many
book discussion groups. She is always involved in Uptown issues, knits while watching
movies, gardens passionately and downhill skis when there is time. |
| Dave Worsley |
Bronwyn Addico |
Since 1999 Dave
has been a mainstay of Words Worth Books. His knowledge of books is amazing, and his sense
of humour keeps both customers and staff grinning. "Consider it done" is Dave's
motto, and it is true. For the hard to track book or any book-related chore, we count on
Dave for help. He also is the buyer for remaindered books.
|
From the age of twelve, Bronwyn has worked part-time at Words Worth. She
went to Ghana to be married in Feb, 2004, and her husband arrived in
Canada in Jan, '05. They parent four children. Reading remains her passion and she's eager to
recommend new novels, self-help and feminist books. |
| Cheryl deSlegte |
Chris Cabena |
| Cheryl keeps
our kids' section in top shape. Quite often you can hear her giggling over the latest
nifty pop-up book. When not surrounded by kid-stuff you can
usually find Cheryl in the new-age section or tracking down special
orders. She and Bronwyn organize kids events. |
Chris is our
soft-spoken guy with quiet good humour. He does most of the processing
of book shipments and
enjoys working with customers to find those special books. He knows all
that's worth knowing about JRR Tolkien. Chris is also our organic food
guru and science fiction and graphic novel specialist. |

Mandy Brouse |

Jocelyn is our newest staff member (April 2008) and is
eager to share her love of the classics. She is also up on young adult
fiction, and vegan/vegetarian cooking. Her background as a book lover
developed at University of Waterloo Library. |
Mandy works part-time
so she can also find time for her first love, poetry. She recently
organized our April poetry event. Her creative touch is applied to
window and instore displays. She is our magazine manager, aided by
Cheryl. Edgy urban fiction always catches her eye.
