Our informal book club is free and open to anyone who wants to share their passion for reading.  Join us for a fun and lively discussion, and delve deep into works of fiction or non-fiction as chosen by people-in-the-know.  Book club books are 20% off!

Second Thursday of every month, 7pm at a top secret location

The lads meet at a local watering hole for discussion, libation and an occasional fist-fight over selected crime-fiction titles.  Long-standing grudges are expected and encouraged.  This group of dedicated and discerning readers numbers between 12 to 15 core members, though there is always room for one more.

A fun-filled half hour of stories and songs to help you bond with your little bookworm.  Suitable for babies and toddlers; must be accompanied by a guardian.

SpecFics and Chill is a free, easygoing, inclusive bookclub focusing on speculative fiction and good wandering conversations. If you're into Science Fiction, Fantasy, Steampunk, Horror, or Alt History of any flavour and combination, come on by!

Most months you can find us at the back table in Death Valley's Little Brother or, if they have an event, at The Princess Cafe. New members always welcome--just show up.

We’ve put a fun and delicious twist on a book club by combining it with a cooking class series.  Members meet to discuss the book selection and cook a dish based on the book’s theme.  Book discussion is led by Words Worth Books, and cooking instruction provided by Donna-Marie Pye from Relish.  Find out more at
