This is a drop-in event for families with children of all ages and their caregiver(s).
Early Learning Programs for young children at WPL are based on literacy research and include tips and information for parents and caregivers. Your active participation in these programs will maximize the experience for you and your child.
About the Author
Carolyn Huizinga Mills' first picturebook, The Little Boy Who Lived Down the Drain, was published in 2017 and was a 2018 Blue Spruce Honour Book, which gave Carolyn the opportunity to meet many excited readers through school visits and at the Forest of Reading Festival in Toronto. Additionally, Carolyn traveled with OneWorld Schoolhouse to St. Lucia for their Rainforest of Reading Program, where she was able to share her story with even more readers. Her second picturebook, Grandpa’s Stars, was published in 2023. Her third picture book, I Drove My Bed to Grandma’s House, will be released October 11.
