Dear Readers,

Like most independent bookshops, Words Worth Books is always on the hunt for the next great book. To those for whom books and reading are important, or those who collect a library of desired titles, the signed first edition of a favourite book is especially prized. A first edition is simply the nearest state of the book to the author's original work. Reprints of a book can sometimes change the text, correct spelling, etc., and while they are perfectly fine, they tend not to hold the same value.

Because "firsts" are often printed in small numbers relative to later reprints, a given book  can become difficult to find later on and those who procure copies early will be thankful for doing so. Plus any book collector will tell you that there's something extra special about a collection of fine signed copies of beloved books. It makes for a thrill that comes with ownership.

With that, we'd like to introduce the Word Worth's First Editions Club! We will have pristine copies of signed books from Canadian authors that we believe have special merit.

Prepaid subscriptions can be purchased for either $80 for three months or $150 for six.

We can't wait to share more books we love with you!
