Holiday Guide Guide 2019!

2019 has proven to be a notable year for our Region and our stalwart bookstore!

The ION train is up and running with ridership in September at 515,000 people. We are grown accustomed to seeing it outside our door and excited by the number of people using the Uptown Waterloo Station. Additionally, Words Worth Books celebrates 35 years in Uptown Waterloo! We hosted family, customers, and friends; we shared stories and created a memory board that hangs in the store’s front foyer. We look forward to many more years championing the written word in Waterloo Region!

In the publishing world, the humble book seems to be on arguably firmer footing than a few short years ago. Whatever digital culture is doing elsewhere, print seems to be staying around for a while yet and booksellers can get back to doing what they love best. This season, that means putting great new books into a lot of hands.

Some new voices in Canadian and international fiction have come to the fore and some old favourites have returned. For crime fiction aficionados 2019 is about as good as it gets.

There are books to make one wonder and ponder, and titles to get lost in and to learn from, within the pages of this catalogue.

As always, there's plenty of parking nearby and the aforementioned LRT runs by the front door many times daily. Gift cards in any denomination are always on offer, inexpensive delivery options abound, and a $5.00 coupon is at the back of this catalogue.

Happy Holidays to You & Yours,

Dave, Mandy and your friends at Words Worth Books
